Ping is made by one person, Nick Saulino. For anything this page does not answer, email nicksaulino@gmail.com and say which phone you are on and the version shown at the bottom of Settings.
Three nodes hide on an 8x8 grid. Tap a tile and it shows one number: how many steps, up, down, left or right, to the closest node you have not found yet. Tap a node's own tile to capture it. Find all three in as few taps as you can. The same pages are in the app under Settings, How to play, and the ? button on a board opens them mid-game. Solo is any of the four levels on its own, as often as you like, for trying things out.
Remove ads is a one-off purchase in Settings. On a new phone, or after reinstalling, Restore purchase in the same place brings it back, as long as the phone is on the same Google Play or Apple account that bought it. Refunds are handled by the store that took the payment: Google Play or the App Store.
Signing in is optional. It adds achievements and the daily leaderboard, through Google Play Games on Android and Game Center on iPhone and iPad. On Android, Settings has a sign-in button; if it fails, close Ping fully and open it again before trying once more. On iPhone and iPad, sign in to Game Center in the phone's own Settings app and Ping picks it up.
Your streak and results are kept on the device you play on. They are not synced between phones. Your phone's own backup to your Google or Apple account can bring them back after a reinstall or a move to a new phone.
Versus pairs you with another player who is looking for a match at the same time; when nobody is, the search offers a game against the bot instead. To report a player's name, open the menu at the top of the screen once the match is over and choose Report name. To have your own Versus name, rating and matches deleted from our server, email the address above with your Versus name.
What Ping stores and sends is set out in the privacy policy.
